Together, our public relations effort aimed to raise awareness of the incredible work at WAKANYEJA TOKEYAHCI Lakota Immersion School, the excellent teachers, and the success stories of many of the students.

Our work included press releases of narrative stories, supporting photos, and long-form videos. This work resulted in significant exposure for Siċaŋġu Co., including:

  • The first release helped secure an “In the Moment” interview with South Dakota Public Broadcasting.
  • The Native Sun News, Lakota Times, and Dakota Scout (Sioux Falls) published all three releases.
  • Newspapers in Brookings, Pierre, and Rapid City ran at least one of the releases, and several ran additional releases.
  • The distribution included every news publication in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming.
