Escapism is a Good Thing

“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.” In the visitor industry, it’s important to remember the reasons that people travel.

tdg’s video staff produced this slideshow for our client, the Blackhawk Waterways Convention & Visitor Bureau. It aired during the recent annual tourism banquet and during other industry meetings in Northwest Illinois.

Our goal was twofold: remind the tourism industry in general that’s it’s all about the experience, and remind the Northwest Illinois folks in particular what experiences they have to offer, especially to those in the Chicago metro area.

The slide show was a hit among the visitor industry folks at Blackhawk Waterways. And for us, it was a good reminder of why we love marketing tourism. We’re selling fun. Please check out the slideshow, and see if you agree.
